FAQS

I have completed my Appraisal when will I receive my copy?

We aim to review your appraisal within 5 working days. The Clinical Nurse will record responses and email you a copy of the completed document.

How do I find out my revalidation date?

To find out what your revalidation date is, you'll need to log onto the NMC website using your email address and password. If you then navigate to 'My Registration' you'll find 'My Details'. Here you will find two dates:

  1. The expiry date - The date by which you must pay your renewal fee
  2. Your renewal date

Practice Hours

To successfully renew your registration, you need to demonstrate that you've worked 450 practice hours during the three years prior to your application. If you haven't met this requirement, you must complete an appropriate return to practice program approved by the NMC before applying for renewal.

In your application, you may be selected to provide further information to verify your declaration. If so, you'll need to provide details such as:

  • Dates of practice
  • The number of hours you undertook
  • Name, address and postcode of the organisations
  • Scope of practice
  • Work setting
  • A description of the work you undertook; the evidence of those practice hours, such as timesheets, job specifications and role profiles.

It's essential to keep track of this information and have it ready when preparing your application for renewal. Being organized will make the process smoother and increase your chances of a successful revalidation.
